ACCUMULATION
Exploring the items and interests we accumulate through our lives. Anything gathered, collected, amassed. A prized collection, curated over the years or a junk drawer that suddenly can’t close. Money for a rainy day or gambled away, accruing interest. Experiences and traditions that add up to equal you.
Tell us: about the collection you’ve kept since childhood or the one your mom threw away. About your local Collyers mansion. About the bookmarks you keep going back to.
Show us: how many napkins are in your glove box or the wear on your first pair of running sneakers.
We are looking for narrative essays, short stories, personal stories, poetry, investigative pieces, and striking visuals that symbolize accumulation.

Rattlebear is edited and curated by David Tunis-Garcia alongside Keelin and Mary Burke. ACCUMULATION is its first edition. The magazine will feature art, short stories, narrative essays, poetry, design, and other works inspired by a select theme.
Once the design is finalized, we plan to print and distribute the magazine for free to the selected artists and to those who request it.
At this time we cannot offer compensation for submitted work. Rattlebear is a self-funded, zero-profit endeavor for the sake of creation and artistic exploration.

Submissions are accepted through November 15th. The team will review pieces and select a final curation to appear in the mag. If selected, you will be contacted for final review prior to print.

Keep an eye on @rattlebearmag on Instagram for more information about the launch or email rattlebearmag@gmail.com to request a copy.
Expect Rattlebear in-hand by late December.
